On June 6, 2009, four courageous teams from TierraNet competed in the World Famous Camp Pendleton Mud Run. A mob of 4,000 participants jammed the starting line for the 9am start, some with costumes (Elvis), matching uniforms, full business suits and even a group of blind runners with guides. 9 TierraNet employees and 11 friends and family conquered the 10K run that had hills, tire obstacles, river crossings, fire hoses, two 5-foot walls with mud on both sides, a tunnel crawl, a slippery hill climb, water guns and the final 30-foot mud pit crawl.
Team TierraNet had a respectable showing with no injuries to report and plenty of great stories to tell. Who would have thought running 6 miles could actually be fun? If you’ve never done it and have considered signing up let this be your inspiration. Heck, if we can do it, so can you. And you have plenty of time to start training for next year’s run. You’ll definitely see us there (probably won’t be in costumes though). Get your race information here.
