You’re probably wondering, “What are these Rebbies you speak of?”
Well, we’re glad you asked! The TierraNet Rebbies is our way of acknowledging the goofy, humorous, wacky happenings that occur at TierraNet on a regular basis.
When a TierraNet employee makes a funny, we submit them for a Rebby Award. At the end of the year, we tally up the nominations and present a silly award to each employee. Here are some examples:
- A Customer Service Representative received “Fall of the Year” award for talking to a customer, falling back in their chair and still managing to keep the conversation going.
- Our Project Manager received the “Aspirations of Ping Pong Greatness” award for his determination to surpass the ping pong champions at TierraNet.
- A pregnant Customer Service Representative was awarded the “Don’t Mess with Me, I’m Pregnant” award. We all can understand that one completely.
The idea came to us from the television show, “The Office” and their classic awards called the Dundies. We figured TierraNet needs something similar and voila! The Rebbies were born!
This year’s 2009 island-themed Rebbies were held on a Friday afternoon and catered by a local Hawaiian food restaurant. The awards themselves were leis and each employee had to come on stage to be presented and properly “lei’d” with their award.
The Rebbies are a great excuse to make fun of each other, laugh at ourselves and have fun with our co-workers. And, we’re glad to share this with you!
