We drink a lot of coffee here. In fact, there are no less than 3 drip machines, 2 french presses and a fully-functional espresso machine in our office. Not to mention the local conglomerate coffee shop that we as an office keep in business with multiple daily coffee runs. It’s true. Your website is monitored 24/7 due in some part to the wonderful benefits of coffee. Not to say we are experts or coffee snobs (although a high percentage of our employees are former baristas), but if it deals with coffee we definitely have some opinions.
Just like anything else, your daily coffee does become boring. It can get monotonous, especially if flavors and syrups just aren’t your thing. For me, finding a new special blend or brewing process is the jolt I need to get me hooked again. What is it this time? A french press.
Every home in Europe has its own coffee press. In fact, every room.
Phil Weston, Kicking & Screaming (2005)
Coffee from a press seems to be fuller and richer than regular drip and a lot less work than an espresso machine. After only having it twice, I find myself shopping for a press all my own. It’s also a new trend here in the office and gaining popularity.
So what’s in your mug? drip or pressed?
